DUNOON GATEWAY PROJECT/THE GATEWAY FESTIVAL

GATEWAY FESTIVAL

Listeners will remember that last week Michaela Kast Project Manager of the Dunoon Gateway project a new project to provide a purpose built accommodation for community and youth programmes in the town of Dunoon came into the studio to tell us about their latest initiative in raising funds for the project.

For some time now the colourful Gateway Festival posters have been seen around the town advertising all manner of things happening at the Argyll Gardens during the day and finishing off with a evening event at Dunoons Bourgh Hall. Activities highlighted ion the Posters were
– Live Music, Painting, Poetry and  The Vibrant Arts Movement featuring founder Ronnie Ford

– Cheerleaders and Baton Twirlers
– Highland Dancers
– Vibrant Arts Performance
– Football Cage
– Sports challenge with Lorraine Robinson from Quayfitness

Included were the usual gala event attraction such as Table Top Sales Food Stalls and a promise – Fun for the whole family
and youth programmes in the town of Dunoon

Michaela was accompanied in the studio by Lorraine Robinson from Hunters Quay Fitness who was contributing to the event with a unique Sports challenge for everyone to take part in .

Latest feedback of the very well attended event blessed with glorious weather has been “spectacular” and even good feedback regards MC for both events the ever shy and bashfull Mr Sunset Ceremony Derek MacIntyre
