FUTURE LOOKING GOOD FOR DUNOON  WITH PA23 BID ?

As we wait for the results of the outcome  on Thursday of how our Council Administration propose to save millions from the authority’s  budget dubbed  ‘slash and burn’ by the opposition group and as we try to understand the mystery of  why  the  plans to close  Dunoon’s Queens Hall for refurbishment  have now been delayed to 2014 when the last administration at the open days on the subject were so positive that the Dunoon CHORD project with money in place plans agreed would start at the beginning of 2013.

Confusion also reigns to the answer given by the council when asked by the local newspaper The Dunoon Observer when the proposed waiting room facilities at the Dunoon Linkspan would be built, — their answer from a spokeswoman —

“ We are still awaiting the outcome of the review  of the town ferry service and nothing will be decided until this is available “ ,

the question folk are now asking do the present Council Administration think there may not be a requirement for waiting room facilities?

But not all is doom and gloom and all is not lost because on the Horizon is the  PA23 BID (Business Improvement District Steering Group) who are predicting  good things for the Future of  Dunoon .
