‘GERMAN TRIVIA NIGHT ‘ AT DUNOON BAPTIST CHURCH

Once again we had a visit from our newest best friend Greetje the Life College Student from Bremen in Germany who introduced us to her fellow student Benjamin from Berlin.
Along with four others the group of students arrived in Dunoon last September and are due to leave on the 24th June .
Explaining the reason for being here in Dunoon Greetjie explained
“The main purpose of this whole stay is to find out what we want to do with our lives. Where do I come from? What do I believe? And Where do I go from here are some questions we were asking ourselves over the past nine month.
The life college gave all of us a vision for our live and everyone found out more about their personality, strengths and future profession.”
She went on to further say “We are so thankful for the local community who welcomed us so warm hearted and gave us the opportunities to become a part of them. We want to thank them by giving something back.
So on Saturday 8th of June we are hosting a charity evening to fund raise for a local charity.
The evening will take place in the front lounge upstairs at Season’s Coffeehouse and the event will start at 5.00PM.
Our idea is to create an evening of a little cultural exchange by serving German dishes and playing German music. The evening would be called ‘German Trivia Night’ and we would love people to come and join us to have a nice and fun evening together. We also planned a little quiz and you can win some German sweets and a lot more!”
During the stay here in Dunoon all of the students had a placement besides the life college. On Monday and Tuesday we were in our Seminars and on Wednesday-Friday we were at our placements.
