SATURDAY LIVE WITH MAGGIE REILLY IN DUNOON

Popular Glasgow Singer Songwriter Maggi Reilly is to perform at the High Kirk Hall, Hanover Street to help raise badly needed funds for Dunoon’s Holy Trinity Church.

Maggie is  best known for her collaborations with the composer Mike Oldfield between 1980 and 1984, especially by performing the vocals on such songs as “Moonlight Shadow”, “Five Miles Out”, “Family Man” and “To France”.

Before her Collaborations with Mike Oldfield  her early career included singing with the Scottish Jazz Funk band Cado Belle along with long time music collaborator Stuart MacKillop.

In 1992, she issued her debut solo album “Echoes”, from which the singlesEverytime We Touch”, “Tears In The Rain” and “Wait” were the most successful ones, followed by “Midnight Sun” in 1993, “Elena” in 1996, “Starcrossed” in 2000, “Save It For A Rainy Day” in 2003 and “ROWAN” in 2006.

Maggie has always been in demand to work with other artist and has  worked with many including, Mike Batt (on his “The Hunting Of The Snark” album),  Jack BruceDave Greenfield & Jan-Jacques Burnel, LesiëmRalph McTellSimon Nicol (of Fairport Convention), RunrigThe Sisters of Mercy and Smokie.

The Concert takes place at 7.30pm Saturday 25th February 2012 a £10 donation has been suggested and entrance passes are available from the Re/Max office in Argyll Street.

Maggi and Stuart will pop in to our new DcrStudioLive in the Argyll Business Centre before this unique concert and we are reliably informed by the lady herself that she will be singing Moonlight Shadow along with other hits from her many Album releases
