Save it with Flowers

The Rose has a name : it is called  JUST FOR YOU and is a Hybrid Tea Rose.

It was planted by Sybil in memory of her late husband and this is a picture of the very first bloom

The Cowal Community is being urged to show their support in the fight against the closure of Cowal Hospice in this latest initiative, which is hoped to show once and for all how the Cowall Community feels.                                                                                                                           ” Help To Bring Back The Dignity And Calm”  is what the posters advertising the Walk ask.  The Organises are asking for as many people as possible to gather at 10.30am on Saturday 16th April in the Castle Gardens bringing a Flower with them and a small written message of support, to be carried with them on the walk to the Stadium. It is hoped the messages will be left on the steps of  CowalHospice.  .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               This is the most visual demonstration, to date, in the fight against the closure of Cowal Hospice and the Organises are praying for a large turnout that will grab the attention of the Media proving just how important this issue is to the people of Cowal.

Every day this week members of the Community will be visiting the Studio Loft of Dunoon Community Radio between 5.00pm and 7.00pm to put forward their personal view of why we need the Cowal Hospice we also invite listeners to let us know how they feel and even come up to the Studio at the Argyll Business Centre above Remax in Argyll Street to share their views.

Tonight Sybil Baldwin, one of the Organisers of the walk came in and spoke to us in a very frank chat and told us why the C0wal Hospice meant so much to her and how preparations for the walk were progressing,  she mentioned that they were looking for pipers to lead the walk from the Castle Gardens to the Stadium and would be grateful if any pipers who were available could contact her.      The organisers of the walk are also hoping to take the protest to NHS Highland in Inverness and a coach and fuel have been donated for this purpose.  If you would like to contact Sybil her phone contact number is 07887798078 there is also the                                          Save Cowal Hospice Facebook or E-mail at : save.cowal.hospice@gmail.com
