SOUTH COWAL COMMUNITY FESTIVAL ENDS WITH 10K ROAD RACE

After nine days of events the South Cowal Community Festival drew to an end this afternoon with the annual 10K Road Race and the 5K and 2k Fun Runs
Starting last Saturday with a Coffee Morning at Innellan Village Hall followed by four gardens in Innellan opening their gates to the public we have had Community Beach Clean and and BBQ at Toward Sailing Club, Quiz Nights. There was a very successful Pet show and Heritage walks by local Historian and Author Margaret Hubbard
Workshops of all manner took place with an abundance of local art on show with an Art exhibition with Original works of Art by members of the Pier Art Club exhibited in the Innellan Village Hall and there was also a Teddy Bears Picnic.
Innellan School Wildlife Watch Group Met in Innellan school where visitors Heard from children about the creation of their award-winning wildlife garden and there was home baking with a wildlife theme.
There was Yoga with June also at Innellan Village Hall
Steve Gillen conducted a Forestry Event and there was even a Family Beetle
The highlight for many was the Special Guest Appearance by Amber, South Cowal’s Giant Red Squirrel!
