THE IMAGINEERS PLAY ACCOUSTIC SET FOR DCR

As a prelude to their forthcoming Gig at The View the band : Steven Young, lead vocals, Lee Ballard, lead guitar and Alastair Greig , Semi- Acoustic bass visited the DCR  studio last night. The fourth member of the band Stephen Forbes ,drums and percussion had problems trying to get his kit up the stairs to the studio and spent the whole evening stuck on the stairs with his big bass drum( he has asked Santa for a Drum Tech/Roadie for Christmas )

The band who all hail from Glasgow first got together in the summer of 2006, when Ali out walking his Bass Guitar (apparently he never goes anywhere without it) visited the wee corner shop where he saw these two strange looking guys (Steven and Lee) pinning a notice on the wall advertising for a bass player to join a band. Informing the guys that he indeed was a bass player and this was a scenario from whence legends begin an audition took place there and then and Ali was given the gig.

Since then the Band have been working very hard cutting their teeth; starting off as a bar band playing many chaotic nights in Scotland’s seediest lounges in order to pay their way, travelling wherever the gigs take them even playing gigs in Liverpool at the Famous Cavern and Zanzibar Clubs.

Having thawed out in the studio and with some warm coffee to help the circulation the boys then played a cracking acoustic version of their latest double sided single Mariana followed by Fairground.  The band write all their own material and are just about to go into the studio to start work on an album with one of Scotland’s finest Record Producers and are hoping to release an E.P. very shortly.
