GLAM ROCK LEGEND TO CHAT LIVE TO DCR97.4fm –IN STORE WINDOW???

Glam Rock Legend Alvin Stardust has agreed to chat live to DCR 97.4fm listeners when he visits Dunoon this Friday prior to his evening Concert in the Queens Hall.

Alvin will be crossing the Clyde early so as to have time, not to visit the Loft Studio in the Argyll Business Centre as you would expect but to have a chat live on air sitting in the comfort of Marshalls Furniture Store below the Loft Studio in Argyll Street.

There have been so many enquiries as to when the 7Os and 80s Pop Icon would be arriving at the Studio it was felt that instead of him disappearing out of sight in the Studio that a more public studio was require. Alvin instantly agreed and said he would love to chat in the window  as he would like to see as many Dunoon folk as possible on his visit.

An outside broadcasting studio will be set up in the furniture store and the actual broadcast will be relayed outside to those folk who would like to come along and say hello.

Keep tuned in to DCR97.4fm for more information and the expected time of arrival (provisional 3.00pm )

Alvin Stardust  is truly a Rock n Roll Legend who was titled ” The Godfather of Rock’n Roll” by no less than another genuine Rock n’ Roll hero Ronnie Wood.

From the early 60s, when he was better known as Shane Fenton (I’m a Moody Guy) and his posters could be found in many teenagers bedrooms, through to today as Alvin Stardust (Jealous Guy, I Feel Like Buddy Holly). He has had an impressive career record with over 150 weeks in the UK charts and in one way or another has been at the forefront of entertainment performing on Stage, Screen and of course Radio all over Europe. His performing talent has also taken him into the theatre, starring in several musicals including as the Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, at the London Palladium.

And now as Alvin can be heard announcing on DCR 97.4 he is shortly to appear here in Dunoon At the Queen’s Hall. Alvin with his fabulous backing band Glyn Davis (Lead Guitar)  Dave Clarke (Bass Guitar) and Dan Guest (Drums) will be appearing in what can only be described as A Fabulous Night Out,  Alvin promises  in his message to DCR97.4fm listeners a first half of pure Rock n’ Roll followed by the 70s Glam Rock we all love so much through into the 80s with his big hits like Pretend, I feel like Buddy Holly and right up to his latest single.

Keep watching the Website for some special News of when Alvin will be talking live to DCR 97.4 Listeners
