ARGYLL COUNTRY FOLK-GUEST FOR SATURDAY

Visiting the DCR97.4fm Argyll Street Studio this afternoon as guest on Argyllcountry Folk was that  infamous  Folk Dou  Medicinal Brew. Medicinal Brew or Doc Bill and Mike  our celebrating the smooth change over of “Doon the Watter Folk Club”from the Whistlefield Inn to Dunoons “The Braes”

Medicinal Brew were  formed in 2004 by Mike Burke and Bill Wilkie who went on to start the ‘Doon the Watter Folk Club’ at the Whistlefield Inn  in 2006. As well as playing regularly at Whistlefield, they have performed at The Jura Music Festival, Friday Islanders Night, Dunoon Community Radio and at The Paisley Beer Fest, as well as various other Clubs and Social gatherings

Other guest this afternoon will include  Stephen Govan concert co-ordinator for the Oban Pipe Band who will be appearing at Dunoon’s Burgh Hall tonight for a special Concert

Featuring Angus MacColl, Russell Esler (Scottish Power), The Scott Wood Trio
(Scott Wood — 2013 Young Traditional Musician of the Year Finalist)
amongst  other guest artists.

It is also hoped that the very fine acclaimed piper,  Pipe Major Euan Dewar will also pop over to the Argyll Street Studio to chat to Frlly who………………………………………………….

has requested  that Euan may consider bringing his pipes with him
