BUSY SATURDAY IN AND AROUND DUNOON
Written by Archie Fergusson on 30/06/2014
So much going on here in and around Dunoon today and of course our very own DCR97.4FM Executive Producer Hamish Bear was out and about to record some of the events for his Web site page. The big event of the day was Paul Kerr’s Happy Dayz Clyde Charity Challenge when over fifty swimmers swam across the Clyde raising funds for their favourite Charities.
We also had Wally of “ Where’s Wally” fame making a public appearance when he joined Glasgow based Crime writer Gordon Brown who’s novels Catalyst Falling and 59 Minutes are very popular.
This was all to help celebrate the first day of National Book Week at Dunoon’s Bookpoint, Wally and author Gordon Brown were joined by Chloe and friends to chat to visitors to the store
DCR97.4FM Presenter Luke and Rupert were out at Blairmore entertaining and commentating on the Ardbeg Swamp Soccer World Cup in glorious sunshine and also out of town we had the annual opening of the Shore Gardens were members of the public are invited to visit some of the most interesting gardens in Cowal
Along with dozens of photographers including a TV film crew, Dcr’s and Observer photographer ITArchie get ready for Paul Kerr’s arrival
