COME AND MEET YOUR LOCAL RED CROSS VOLUNTEERS WEDNESDAY 31st JULY
Written by Archie Fergusson on 27/07/2013
Did you know that there is an active Red Cross group in Dunoon ?
They are having an information day in Argyll Gardens on Wednesday 31st July and starting at 10.00am volunteers from the local Red Cross will be informing the rest of the community what they do .
You will hear about the services they offer in the area, some will surprise you.
They will be demonstrating some basic and potentially lifesaving first aid skills.
They will also be telling us about the many interesting volunteer opportunities that might interest us with the British Red Cross .
To keep us entertained there will be some lively banter from the Red Cross Volunteers as they run through their informative demonstrations .
Of course the famous Retail Stall and the Tombola stall with Margaret and Jean and others who are keeping very quiet till the day plus lots of surprises for you to see.
Victor and Simon of the Cowal will be there from Dunoon Community Radio both on their very best behaviour (with so much sticky tape and bandages about –they have been warned )
Young Claremarie Nolan the Inverclyde songstress will be visiting us and singing songs from her latest cd recording with a touch of nostalgia to take us down memory lane and there may even be a guest appearance or two from others from the DCR97.4FM REVUE
