We are pleased to report that Cliona and Nuala McCheyne successfully scaled their 50th Munro on Saturday 6th September. The twins climbed Ben Lomond with their parents Neil and Diane along with a reporter from BBC Scotland. Some of you may have heard them on Radio Scotland on Saturday morning, if not they will apparently be on again this Saturday and Sunday on Radio Scotlands programe “Out of Doors”. The BBC also have some great photographs of the girls on their “Scotland Outdoors – Galleries” page; including one showing the chocolate cake their dad presented them with at the top of Ben Lomond along with some DVD’s as a reward for their great achievment. It brought home the difference that can be made to the lives of the children and their families in Yorkhill and how valuable the fundraising for these organisations is.
