COWAL FEST 13th WALKING & OUTDOOR FESTIVAL BEGINS

As Cowal Fest welcome in October with the 13th Walking and Outdoor Festival with a newly designed brochure and a new web-site which makes it easier to see what’s on and to book events DCR gets ready to broadcast updates and news from one of the largest and most varied walking festivals in Scotland with more than 80 walks led by expert and knowledgeable walk leaders.
All ages and abilities are catered for with the walks covering a wide range of interest with areas of wildlife, bird watching, drama, photography, art, history, heritage, folklore, tai chi, great gardens, great houses and some great hill walks.
New events for this year which include Mountain bike race, Nordic Walking and Canoeing
Dunoon Community Radio presenter Frlly will devote her Saturday afternoon programme “Argyll Country Folk” to Cowal Fest taking listeners through the Cowal Fest brochure with music and musicians with a Cowal connection
This programme will be repeated on Tuesday 7th October.at 2.00pm and there will be daily updates on DCR97.4FM. begining at 7.00am
