The final weekend with still lots to do with a variety of events to participate in or just enjoy as a spectator
Ardentinny -Clunie Oak Wood Discovery Trail (Family Walk) Follow the trail through the oak woodland and keep a keen eye out for red squirrels and the wee green survivors known as Bryophytes (mosses, liverworts and lichens) which colonise the damp, dark nooks and crannies. Going is fairly easy on well surfaced trail with a few gentle slopes and one wooden bridge to cross.
The walk fees from this walk will be donated to the local charity Interloch which is a charitable community transport service……..
A tour of Dunoon, Castle grounds, Church , Pier and environs. We finish off with a tour of the Museum………………………
Castle Toward /Chinese lakes and Toward Hill Walk through the grounds of castle Toward to Chinese Lakes then via Forest Paths Road to access point for short hill climb where we will get spectacular views of both sides of the Cowal peninsula and across to Inverclyde. On return we will view Castle Toward and the ruins of Toward Castle……………………………………….
Cruachan nan Cuilean Minibus from Seasons Coffee Bar to the start of the walk on the B 836 near Auchenbreck. Climb Cruach nan Cuillean then descend via Cruach Mhor Wind Farm to Ardacheranmor. Minibus back toDunoon……………………………………
