DCR97.4FM AT THE ROYAL HIGHLAND SHOW

Well that’s the first day over of The 175th Royal Highland Show at the Ingliston showground in Edinburgh reporting for all our listeners on Dcr97.4fm and meeting several folk from the Cowal. The event which showcases Scottish rural living, farming, food and drink including from the Cowal will run until Sunday 21 June.
The event will include the showcasing of thousands of livestock, equestrian shows, forestry events and cooking competitions and demonstrations. The show, organised by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland, has a major focus on food production this year, all to tie in with 2015 being Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink.
There will be live tastings and cooking demonstrations designed to educate both children and adults on how the food they eat is produced “The Rural Matters Stand” was very popular with everyone including many known faces like this young lady doing a Tommy Cooper impression “Just Like That”
