DEREK MCINTYRE TO GO -TO GO RADIO GLASGOW

Congratulations to Derek McIntyre after it was announced late Saturday night that the well know local personality former STV Nightshift presenter and well known voice on Dunoon Community Radio is to join GO RADIO GLASGOW .
Derek has been in the radio business for decades and has presented all manner of programmes on a variety of radio stations across the central belt.
Over the last seven years or so he has shared his expertise and broadcasting experience many times behind the scenes here at Dunoon Community Radio and helped and featured in many specialised programmes and has also treated listeners to a “McIntyre” well known programme which entailed listeners having early morning alarm calls.
Of his new appointment Derek says “With GO Radio Glasgow I see a return to personality driven local radio and that’s something I am interested in.” Derek has been lined up to present the 10am – 2pm slot which he intends to pack full of studio guests and information about what’s happening in the city, “Glasgow is in a unique position where there’s never a day that passes that there’s not something interesting going on, I hope to capture the essence of that and also bring great guests in to our St. Enoch Centre studios on a regular basis’

We know our listeners not only on 97.4 FM but also world wide on the internet will be wishing him well in this new position which sounds tailor made for Derek.

In the official announcement GO Radio Glasgow Programme Director Kevin Cameron says, ‘Derek is a great addition to our personality driven line up, he has a wealth of experience and will bring Glasgow to the listeners’

GO Radio Glasgow will broadcast on DAB Digital radio, online and on multi platform app. And is due to launch 11th January –
