DRUMS N’ ROSES JEN VISITS SARAH TO TELL OF ITV’s BRITAINS GOT TALENT
Jen McVicar from DrumsN’ Roses who recently retired from The Cowal Piped Band to concentrate on her Uni Studies and Drums N’ Roses called into the Argyll Street Studio to tell Sarah her latest news regards the Bands progress through ITV’s Britains Got Talent auditions.
The group Contains the 4 Main Members, Craig Lawrie, Chris Lawrie, Gregor Rae and of course Jen who also play for the prestigious Grade 2 Lomond and Clyde Pipe Band who are based in Clydebank under the direction of Pipe Major David Wotherspoon and Leading Drummer Allan Craig with Jen being the only female piper in the band
Drums N Roses are a Bagpipe and drum, Rock group formed in the winter of 2005 after Craig heard Robert Mathiesons CD, “The Big Birl” when the only performances could be seen on Sauchiehall St in Glasgow. The band didn’t even have a name back then. These day’s the Band are in great demand performing all over Scotland and “China”
