DUNOON CHURCHES RING OUT FOR VE COMMEMORATIONS

Churches in Dunoon rang their bells today to join the commemorations to mark the 70th anniversary of the Victory in Europe by taking part in a national event and ringing bells together at 11am
The ringing of church bells has long been part of marking the moment when peace broke out in 1945 and this was an opportunity to be part of a shared single national moment when together we remember all those who gave their lives for our todays.
Dunoon Community Radio broadcasted the sounds of the bells including Innellan(Matheson ) Churcn, The High Kirk, St John’s and Holy Trinity Together with numerous Churches up and down the United Kingdom the bells rang out .
