DCR are very pleased to have been asked by the Cowal Community Events Association to stage a Radio Roadshow in the Argyll Gardens on Saturday the 22nd August between 12noon and 5pm.
We are planning lots of entertainment to appeal to the whole family which will include local live musicians, dancers, entertainers and local personalities making appearances to support DCR. Confirmed so far are The Argyll Majorettes, Christina Cairns School of Dancing, Marjory Barton, Cowal Pipe Band and Dunoon Satori Karate Club. Helping our presenters we have a guest presenter from L107 Radio, Mr Derek McIntyre.
There will also be a special appearance from Scotlands newest singing talent 16 year old Holly Ogilvie who recently “brought the house down” at “The Loft” and is returning to Dunoon especially to support DCR.
There will also be all the favourites-, Charity Stalls, Tombola and there will be one or two special treats. Local artiste Bill Williamson who will be demonstrating how he makes his sought after Pottery on the Potter’s wheel and letting people try it for themselves.
This will all be recorded live for transmission so you may be asked to say a few words for the radio audience.
We still have a couple of free spots in the programme and we would love it to be a showcase of Dunoon’s Talent so if you think you have something to offer give us a call 01369 703 201.
