DUNOON REVIVAL WEEKEND 2016 ANNOUNCE LINE UP

Dunoon Presents manager Colin Moulson came into the John Street 97.4FM Studio this week to enlightened everyone to most of the Line Up for the 2016 Dunoon Revival Weekend including Secret Affair the popular Mod Revival Band their debut single “Time For Action” sold over 200,000 copies and reached number 13 in the UK chart, putting the band at the forefront of the mod revival movement. First formed in 1978, disbanded in the 1980s and reformed in the 2000s to record and perform.
From last year the incredible eight piece who wowed everyone with their Northern Soul/R&B/60’s Soul —Berry Tweed and the Chasers also returning from the 2015 line up another eight piece band Esperanza.
Esperanza are just about to launch their long awaited album since the debut 5 years ago – “Back on Hope St” on Saturday 13th February at Glasgows fantastic new St Lukes Music and Arts Venue on Bain St close to the legendary Barrowland Ballroom which will feature a brand new batch of songs covering ska/reggae and fusing some post- punk ethos .
Other confirmed acts include “The Underground Jam” considered as one of the UKs top tribute bands and “The Sell Out” the fanatical Who tribute Renfrewshire-based band.
More Bands will be announced as they are signed up but we can confirm that the runaway successful act of the 2015 Dunoon Revival Weekend “Dogtooth” will return to the Marquee on Saturday. So many were blown away by these guys who have gone from strength to strength and recently played at Glasgow’s Barrowland –What an achievement playing a gig at one of the most famous venues in the World- and they did themselves proud –absolutely outstanding!
As listeners will know Colin was able to announce on his visit to the Studio that they had just finalised details for Roddy ‘Radiation’ Byers (Of The Specials) who with his Band Skabilly Rebels Danny Webb, Spencer Walker, Connor O’Connor and Adrian R Lee will be performing their own special brand of Ska, Rockabilly, Country in the Marquee.

Friday night will be FREE GIGS held in several venues around Dunoon with at this time only one Band being confirmed “Seaside Sons”.
