Dunoon’s famous Esplanade Hotel hosted a very special Fundraising Teddy Bear’s Picnic today, even though because of the weather it all started indoors. Every year the Shergill family, SGE Hotels, choose a local charity to raise funds for by hosting a charity fun day and auction at one of their properties.
This year they hosted an event here in Dunoon at The Esplanade Hotel with all the proceeds going to Cornerstone CLASP the Scottish charity and provider of social care services to over 2,600 adults, children and young people with disabilities and other support needs

The main part of a day’s with many fantastic thing happening was a fantastic Charity Auction with some outstanding prizes waiting for your bids with all the proceeds going to Cornerstone.
With items ranging from major concerts VIP tickets to see Beyonce in July, Tin the Park passes, and local event the Cowal Games and Gig at The Gathering to the ever popular and desirable football memorabilia signed tops from Rangers, Celtic and Scottish Rugby to unique items so many we couldn’t mention them all and brought many bids from the packed ballroom of the Esplanade.

With the weather not being so kind until later in the afternoon most of the earlier activities took place indoors including decorating Cup Cakes with the Fyne Cakes team Anne, Jessica and William and decorating Candles with the KMR Candles team Anne, Casey and Kirsty on hand to show you how it is done.

The ever popular Tomblola as well as a Grand Prize Raffle organised by Cornerstones Elaine, Rebecca and Barbara

Dunoon Community Radio presenter Stereo Simon was there as well as Hamish the Executive producer who just loved having his photograph taken with many children and some big people
