Friday 7th October – Sunday 16th October 2016
Volunteers needed to help at “The Hub”
For the duration of CowalFest Argyll, bookings will be taken for walks and other events at the Burgh Hall “pop up shop” in Argyll Street.   This arrangement with the Burgh Hall is much appreciated as it will provide a central point for anyone wishing to book/discuss a walk or event and will also be a starting point for some of the walks.    Being within easy walking distance of the pier makes it easy to access for folk coming off the ferry too.
However, “The Hub” requires to be manned during the day to deal with bookings and enquiries.    With this is mind, we are looking for volunteers to help for a few hours over the course of the Festival.    No great computer skill is required as everything will be written down in an easy to follow format but a smile and a friendly disposition would be beneficial!
If you think you could help then we would love to hear from you.    We have 20 slots to fill during the ten days and envisage that two people would be needed for each time slot.     If you can volunteer why not bring along a friend to help and make it into a social occasion?!    Tea, coffee, biscuits etc will be provided free of charge!
The hours would be 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 4.30pm each day.     Even if you cannot do the whole period of time we would like to hear from you but, if you can fill more than one slot, we would be even more pleased!
If you think you can help please email the required information toeleanor.stevenson1234@hotmail.co.uk or moiraclinch@hotmail.com  (Moira Ferguson)

Preferred day/time from 7th to 16th Oct inclusive

CowalFest Argyll is a not for profit organisation and relies on volunteers to keep it going.    It is one of the largest walking and outdoor festivals in Scotland and is important to the local economy as it brings in visitors from outwith the area and lets them see what a beautiful part of the world we live in.    It also provides local people with the opportunity to explore new parts of the area with the help of a knowledgeable guide but without volunteers to help the event would be a non-starter!      Hopefully, you will try to find some time to help!
