Sandbank Gala 2016 certainly drew the crowds and is being claimed as the biggest yet. Besides all the usual side stalls and attractions promoting local charities and organisations visitors where treated to several new stalls one inviting you to join in a Walk Challenge — Dunoon To The Moon ? Cowal Red Squirrel Group had all manner of Squirrel paraphernalia……
And of course the now World Famous Traditional Tug O’ War —-The Winners …………………………
Entertainment was of course First Class with once again MC Robert MacGregor from R-Mac Discos introducing a cast of thousands including The Dunoon Grammar School Pipe Band, Acoustic Sounds, Joanne McGeachie Highland Dancers , The Sandbank Primary School Singers and Cowals latest sensation direct from performing at this weekends Fynefest –Ri Cheile. A Stand out Event in a weekend that offered Fynefest and a Queens Birthday Party Event!
