SAVE OUR SUNBEAMS URGENT APPEAL CONCERT

SPECIAL GUEST CLAIR TIERNEY

On Saturday 10th November the Burgh Hall is hosting a live music night from 8-11pm.  An evening not to be missed, you are invited along to enjoy the best of traditional and contemporary folk music, presented to you by local groups appearing together for the first time in the Burgh Hall.

All proceeds from the night are going towards Innellan and Toward Family Centre and  Sunbeams nursery “ Save our Sunbeams” fundraising campaign.

On the night, the 1234s will be performing their unique blend of American Bluegrass, Country and folk music ranging from …………………………………………..

Woodie Guthrie and The Carter Family through Hank Williams to present-day material by Steve Earle and  John  Prine.  The group is made up of individuals who all have an impressive range of playing experience behind them, and collectively they manage to produce a sound which will delight fans of the Americana genre.

The 1234s will be supported on the night  by Medicinal Brew

MEDICINAL BREW

Medicinal Brew was formed in 2004 by Mike Burke and Bill Wilkie who went on to start the ‘Doon the Watter Folk Club’ at the Whistlefield Inn  in 2006. As well as playing regularly at Whistlefield, they have performed at The Jura Music Festival, Friday Islanders Night, and at The Paisley Beer Fest, as well as various other Clubs and Social gatherings.

Special Guest on the night is Clair Tierney a very talented  singer, songwriter and musician who is well-known locally and increasingly further afield.  Many tracks from Clair’s CD “Of the Deepest Dye” have been heard on  Dunoon  Community Radio, and the album has featured as Album of the week
