Scout Troop Visit Dunoon Community Radio
Written by Archie Fergusson on 20/02/2011
It was a pleasure over the last two weeks to have the 24th Argyll Scout Troop
visit us here in the corridor . Over the two weeks the scouts in four Patrols told of the activities involved in been a Scout and there were explanations of task involved to achieve the many badges being worn.
The Scouts were quick to explain to Dj Sam the differences in today’s Modern Scouts to the days when he was a Scout making a fire with two sticks.
Dj Ben was surprised when explaining the working of the studio by the knowledge the Scouts had on the technical side of broadcasting and thinks he may have found several future volunteers for Dunoon Community Radio .
Most impressive was the combined knowledge of music within the group and the fact that several of the youngsters were familiar with Dunoon Community Radio.
Every one at Dunoon Community Radio was delighted to meet the 24th Argyll Scout Troup and we look forward to them visiting us in the Corridor again very soonand many thanks go to Paul Colquhoun and Gregor Fish.
