The Queen’s Baton Relay will travel through  Argyll and Bute  on Sunday 13 July, with  the Relay setting  off from Appin to travel to Oban, Lochgilphead, Inveraray and  end its journey in Dunoon.

The Relay is being organised by Glasgow 2014 in partnership with Commonwealth Games Scotland and with support locally from the council.

The Glasgow 2014 Queen’s Baton Relay is the curtain-raiser to the Commonwealth Games and symbolises the coming together of all Commonwealth nations and territories in preparation for the Games. The council will work with Glasgow 2014 to make it a success for our people and our area. It really is something to look forward to.”

Celebrations to help celebrate this great event will take in Dunoon Stadium when an afternoon and early evening of entertainment and activities will take place and Free as there shall be no charge into the Stadium

Dunoon Community Radio Presenters will be at our DCR97.4FM Radio Marquee  Situated at the side of the Big Celebration  Stage informing you of what’ where and when events will be happening in the stadium and on the Big Celebration Stage

You may even  see your favourite DCR97.4 FM presenters  introducing some of the big line up of incredible talent that will be performing on the stage as listed below.

We look forward to meeting as many listeners as possible pleeeeeese come and say Hello.
