DCR97.4FM has been broadcasting teaser adverts telling of a BEER FEST to be held at Dunoons “BREWERY” Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October and you must of noticed the poster around the town revealing the line-up of top entertainment that will entertain.
It has been announced that Dunoon band “FRIENDS OF OUR’S” will be opening the event on both Saturday and Sunday who of course will feature tunes from their latest E.P. PRIORITIES
All the artist who are appearing at the festival are DCR favourites including an artist making a return visit to Dunoon Brewery TOM HINGLEY (Sat 3.30pm-4.30pm) known to many as the voice of INSPIRAL CARPETS (1989-2011) is well known for his awesome acoustic performances. As the vocalist in INSPIRAL CARPETS TOM has recently been featured on DCRs LUKES ANYTHING GOES, BUT ONLY IF HE LIKES and VICTORS TLLLVLBS with many tracks from THE BEAST INSIDE which has also featured as “Featured CD of the week” on the LLLVLBS along with his album ABBA ARE THE ENEMY with his band THE LOVERS. Still in great demand Tom travels the width and breath of the UK and has built up an incredible following for his Acoustic performances
REELY JIGERED (Sat 9.00pm-10.30pm)with DCR presenter FIONA McNEIL are joined on the line up of top entertainment by TEN GALLEN BRATZ (Sun 4.30pm-6.30pm) who supported REELY JIGERED at the incredible Launch of their second Album KALEIDOSCOPE at Glasgows Oran Mor recently .
REELY JIGGERED fresh from their sell out concerts in Islay’s Port Charlotte as part of their KALEIDOSCOPE ISLAND TOUR are sure to have the BREWERY Jumping on Saturday night.
Many listeners will remember the fabulous Headlining Performance of TRAIL WEST(Sun 7.30pm-10.pm) at the recent DIZZY DAYZ concert held in the Argyll Gardens when the boys hailing from the Western Isles treated the crowds with tunes from their debut Album “ONE THAT GOT AWAY”
TRAIL WEST have been busy this week performing at Hootananny in Inverness as part no “Cearcall Ciuil”(Pub Music Trail) for The Royal National Mod Fringe Programme and the DCR Girls in Inverness tell us they too are sure to have the BREWERY Jumping on Sunday night.
A band who certainly made a great impressions recently at KYLES FESTIVAL and FYNE FEST are GROUCHO SESSIONS (Sat 5.30pm-8.oopm) an acoustic blues, folk and country group of young men with some very well known “been around” faces who do really know how to party, some would say they should know better at their………………..
