TODAY IS THE DAY –THE CLYDE CHARITY SWIM CHALLENGE

The Clyde Swim charity challenge is now in its 4th year and has become a renowned event in Dunoon’s calendar.  The swim itself starts at the Cloch Light house in Gourock and crosses the 1.6nm of famous shipping lanes of the River Clyde, finishing at the foot of Dunoon’s Castle Hill, a very focal point of Dunoon that always has a warm welcome for all the heroes who choose to step up to this challenge.

Safety cover is always there keeping all taking part safe.

It all starts around 2.00pm today when the swimmers leave the Dunoon breakwater to be picked up by the Ribs to take them across the Clyde to the starting point at the Cloch Lighthouse.

There will be plenty to do whilst you await the first swimmers to arrive at the finishing including a prize tombola with some amazing prizes, a chance to win an overnight stay with breakfast & dinner at the fabulous Portavadie and there will be a donation station for anyone wanting to give to Happy Dayz.
