Transport Minister Humza Yousaf told our Parliamentary commentator Charles Fletcher  from Caledonia Media’s “The Week in Holyrood”:

“This ensures there is certainty for the future. Unpausing is the only realistic way to secure the passenger-vehicle service and letting that tender run its course.”

The summary :

This is an interim report it will be followed by a final report in the spring 2018.

The current contract for Dunoon Gourock will be extended to December 2018

The application of teckal doctrine will be explored to be applied if possible to the passenger element. It says there could be a return of a vehicle carrying vessel
