Pat Hayes along with her grandson Thomas (who was celebrating his 10th birthday) and best friend Aran joined Victor in the DCR97.4FM John Street Studio to tell the listeners about the worldwide campaign to get public buildings and landmarks to light up Gold on September 1st, in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, her grandson Thomas who was diagnosed with cancer aged 4 and can still remember a great deal of his journey since then, one that took him to Florida for Proton therapy an advanced form of radiation therapy. Thomas a perfect ambassador for Children’s Cancer Awareness lives in Dunoon and attends a local school.
