Each year around this time NaNoWriMo an annual (November) novel writing project brings together professional and amateur writers from all over the world.

Kerrie Noor a Dementia Link Worker is on a quest to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland by writing a Novel within the month of November and is asking Dunoon Community Radio listeners to support her.006 (640x478)

Next Wednesday Kerrie is coming back into the DCR Argyll Street Studio to introduce you to the characters from her book which is titled “Never On A Monday”

What Kerry said

Kerry nefertiti

November is National Novel Writing Month and mad people like me join nanowrimo.org in an attempt to write a 50.000 word novel (okay it’s a minnie novel). But it’s a feat I have only dreamed of.

I worked it out 50,000 words in 30 days; lets call it a month 4 weeks..

that is 12,500 words a week

that is 1,786 words a DAY!!!!!!

But then I hit on an idea why don’t I invite as many people as possible to follow the whole excruciating creative process I couldn’t back out then….

.And then I thought about my work with Alzheimer Scotland the charity could also benefit and I would get to impress my new boss!

My family like many have been affected by Dementia. At present there is no cure but research goes on; not only to find a cure but also to find more ways to improve the quality of life for people with Dementia and their families.

‘Never on a Monday’ will be created in 30 days (though it will be edited etc after that). You are welcome to sponsor me anyway you see fit.

It is going to be a funny story!
