COWAL OPEN STUDIOS JACKIE STEVENSON CELEBRATES ………….

Congratulations to our Cowal Open Studios artist Jackie Stevenson who is celebrating being made a member of the Scottish Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours. Jackie says she is trying to capture the colours, moods and textures of the Argyll landscape using mixed media and collage.
Her work she says is an interpretation of the effects of light and weather on northern landscape, the images she says she creates are an evocation of a particular place and atmosphere rather than being purely representational

Jackie was one of the recent Cowal artist who took part in the recent very successful Cowal Open Studios when Cowal artist opened their studios to members of the public.

The recent Dunoon Community Radio series Cowal Open Studios introduced and presented by Jan Harper is at present being repeated as “The Cowal Open Studios Revisited” when listeners can hear Jan talking to Artist from Cowal about their work their influences and their Music
