Written by on 03/05/2020

WE ARE HERE 24/7 WE VALUE YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND COMMENTS AND CAN BROADCAST IN AN EMERGENCY TO OUR LISTENERS

Whist we all experience life changing challenges on a daily basis and live with so much uncertainty Dunoon Community Radio volunteers will  continue to broadcast and with the support of our sustaining service Celtic Music Radio from Glasgow continue to bring  to our local community and regular listeners from all over the world regular updates of what is happening across Cowal and information that may help us get through each day .

To keep you informed of local issues we have changed the format of some programmes with presenters including more local information, many of you will have noticed that the morning Roads Railand Rivershow has now almost dedicated itself in informing you to what shops are open and how you can organise home deliveries. We shall avoid repeating or reporting on national issues that are widely covered by main stream media but will endeavour to keep you up to date on local matters.

We also value your observations and comments and to do this you can contact Victor the Programme Controller 24/7 who will pass on your information and can even arrange immediate emergency live broadcast broadcast

We are also aware that many listeners don’t subscribe to social media, have a lap top and only use their android phone for phone calls so we will be keeping this in mind and where possible give you contact phone numbers other than social media contacts and it is advised to keep paper and pencil handy.

For the past few weeks as presenters entered isolation our IT Department (Archie) was working hard In devising ways and means of presenters broadcasting from their own homes and we now have seven presenters broadcasting  with two more shortly to come on line
