Our Primary Care Clinic has been running for almost one year now with Advanced
Nurse Practitioner Ayesha Robertson and Healthcare Assistant Linda Black.
The Primary Care Clinic currently offers appointments for all four local GP surgeries.
Treatments/Procedures that can be covered at this clinic are –
• Phlebotomy
• Ear Syringing
• Simple Wound Dressings
• Stitches and Clips
• Smear Tests
• Sexual Health
• ECG
• Spirometry
• Childhood Immunisations
• Chronic Disease Management
Patients can access this service through their own GP surgery.
Ayesha and Linda have been a very welcomed addition to Cowal Community Hospital and this year were nominated for the Argyll & Bute HSCP Excellence Awards – Patient/Service User Choice Award – one nominator said – “Ayshea and Linda’s professional yet relaxed manner and light-hearted working relationship is unique and allows the patient to feel included in their own care. Over the past 20 years I’ve had to have continuous care and support and I’ve not known a better patient-orientated service.”
