This year will see DCR for the eight-year bringing listeners news and broadcast from the biggest Celtic Connections up to date as it celebrates it’s 25th Anniversary from Glasgow courtesy of our sustaining service Radio Station Celtic Music Radio.
Celtic Music Radio 95FM is like Dunoon Community Radio 97.4FM a charitable community radio station dedicated to serving Scotland’s musicians. It has a team of 30 music-loving volunteers promoting a wide range of music in a wide choice of genres from across Scotland, Ireland and beyond.
Celtic Music Radio 95FM is planning an unrivalled Festival of Music during Celtic Connections 2017.
Their programmes will include live, up-close-and-personal sessions from international acts as well the best musicians Glasgow and other parts of the country have to offer.
They will be featuring new and upcoming bands plus headline artists appearing at Celtic Connections.
From 11 am to 5 pm, Celtic Music Radio will provide live music, interviews and up-to-date Celtic Connections’ news combined with reviews and ticket availability.
The sparkling action will take place in the Buchanan Suite at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall from Mondays to Fridays and from our studios at Admiral Street, Kinning Park on Saturdays and Sundays and will include Dunoon Community Radio Presenters
All in all, that’s 17 days, 136 hours and over 70 live acts all on 95FM and DAB across Glasgow and www.celticmusicradio.net around the world. The live studio sessions on Saturdays and Sundays are free to attend but donations are always welcome.
In addition, from 5pm to 7pm Celtic Music Radio will be broadcasting live the Danny Kyle Open Stage from the Exhibition Hall at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Dunoon Community Radio will be broadcasting all the Danny Kyle Open Stage Concerts.
