FRIDAY 11TH OCTOBER FIRST OFFICIAL DAY OF GLASGOW’S ROYAL NATIONAL MOD

This year’s Royal National Mòd will start with the annual presentation of the Gaelic Ambassador of the year award. Friday evening will see the opening ceremony officially mark the opening of the Mòd in Glasgow with a speech from John Swinney MSP. Following this there will be a vast array of talent taking to the stage in George Square for an open air ceilidh organised by the Local Committee with renowned Scots Trad-rock band Mànran headlining.
