LATEST NEWS ON DUNOON PIER EVENT

Dunoon Presents Manager Colin Moulson and Official Dunoon Events MC Derek Macintyre from Scotland’s newest Radio “GO RADIO” called into the John Street DCR97.4fm broadcasting studio to bring the listeners up to date on the forthcoming Run & Ride Event
The Dunoon Ride and Run on 2nd April is the first event to use the newly renovated Dunoon Pier as an event hub. It is planned to combine the spectator friendly sporting event with a fun filled day of Family Entertainment to remind folk of the Hugh potential the Pier is as an event focal point.
During the race local piper Connor Honeyball will meet the runners at strategic points around the course to greet them with the sound of the bagpipes and to greet the visitors to the Pier we have the return of the Cowal Pipe Band who be performing to set the scene,
Meeting and greeting will be the legendry Red Coats who will be performing several “On The Pier Concerts” during the event and to give it that authentic “On the Pier” feel there will be a specially erected stage with a genuine deck chair seating area

Music, face painting and a few surprises will keep the whole family entertained and making sure everyone knows what’s happening Dunoon Community Radio presenters will be filling in any gaps and broadcasting the event live all over the world with Events MC Derek Macintyre.
Of course there will be home –baking , tea and coffee along with other stalls So come on down, cheer on the runners and cyclists and let’s have a wee party on our wonderful pier. including for souvenir hunters “Doon The Watter Memorabilia” with all kinds of unique stuff plus of course the much sort after Dunoon Pier badges
