NEIL ALEXANDER celebrates his 100th Programme this morning, but he want’s no fuss, no telegrams and no cake just a cosy chat with his listener and good banter. Neil will of course be bringing you a light hearted look at what’s happening out and about this week with a close eye on the Ferry situation, comments on the World of Cinema, Books and sometimes the cheeky bits from the newspapers and of course “A Scottish Word”.
As a wee treat this morning and to make sure you are fully up to date with what’s happenning locally he will be telling you about a new initiative here in Dunoon put together by local entrepreneur’s to install a cable car system from Dunoon to the top of hills above the town. At the top there will be a visitor heritage centre and café.
This will provide access to the hills and its spectacular views over the Clyde for young and old alike. It will also allow many visitors either walking or on bikes to take advantage of the many stunning trails that for many are too high to reach. However, that’s not all.
Their vision also includes bringing exciting activities like a world class Zip Line and an Alpine Coaster so families can race down the hills or the less adventurous can stick with the Cable Car.
