PETER PAN –DUNOON’S MOST AMBITIOUS THEATRICAL PRODUCTION MAKES PROGRESS
Written by Victor Thomas on 09/10/2019
With just six weeks to go the LiveArgyll, Dunoon Players and Youthstuff calibration are on schedule in their preparation to present to Dunoon the most ambitious theatre production the town has seen with seasoned actors from the Dunoon Players, young talented enthusiastic actors from Youth Stuff and the fabulous settings of the Queens Hall Producer and Co-Director Don McNeill is well pleased with the progress
Don together with fellow co-director Jane Murray, Julie Forrester from The Dunoon Players and Youthstuff actors Leah Hobdy, Aoffe Murphey and Salma Murray popped into the John Street Broadcasting Studio to bring listeners up to date.
Julie with her fund raising hat on brought to the listeners attention that not only is this one of the most ambitious theatre productions the town has seen it does come at a cost –apparently the magic involved in having cast members flying requires the expertise of a leading theatrical “wire” company. Julie explained the production team where still looking for a main sponsor and there were still Programme advertising spacers available , a wee message on their face book page will bring you details.
For someone with a lot of responsibility Don seemes to be having too much fun producing and co –directing this project embracing challenges as they arise and cannot wait for the final production to be “Curtain Up” on the 29TH November and is especially looking forward to the 3.00pm Matinee on Saturday afternoon before the final Saturday performance at 7.30pm
