The Information supplied over the airwaves and through the dcr webpage will be just “off-the-cuff”

the governing body of THE ROYAL NATIONAL MOD is An Comunn Gaidhealach based in Inverness

The venue for the Am Mod Naiseanta Rioghail is decided on some years in advance.

In Dunoon the Local Mod Committee has had to demonstrate that they can produce funding to stage the event and produce a presentation to be acceptable to An Comunn Gaidhealach

FRLLY’s first bit of information is for those who would like to enter the Main Mod in October….The ENTRY FORM will be available to down load from the www.acgmod.org website very soon Entries have to be submitted by 31st May in accordance with the requirements as listed on the ACG website.

FRLLY also suggests first time competitors to try out their competition pieces at one or two Provincial Mods which are held usually in May or June; September and October a list of which will be set in a separate list on this site.

We also tried to persuade our youngest volunteer Sean who is a very fine piper to think about entering a competition, just to find out what it was like and to share his Mod Experiences with us , but a very sensible young man replied that he may have too much on this year to attempt it but there was always the future
